View from the Aerobars John Bursell posted a very impressive time of 55:59 to beat Mike McCann, who traveled from Whitehorse for the event that he specializes in. McCann started the race 1 minute ahead of Bursell, and was out of sight from Bursell for the first half of the race. Both riders rode the second half of the race faster, with Bursell gradually pulling McCann into sight and claiming the win. At the age of 60, McCann is an incredibly fast rider. Robert Sowers posted a personal best, with a speedy 58:28, the only other rider to beat the one hour mark. Casey Colton started 30 seconds in front of me, and I never saw him again, as he rode a quick 1:01:48. Jim Sheufelt had a great ride on his new time trial bike. Carl Lundquist rode his first 40K time trial, cheered on by John McConnochie who also lent him a time trial bike. Jon Bilderbeck rode a good race, especially considering he did not have any aerobars on his bike. No-shows for the race included two riders with new time trial bikes this year - Charlie Williams and Terry Ward - hopefully they will be able to ride in the Tour of Juneau.
